Assistant Professor at Imperial College London, United Kingdom

Sanaz Talaifar

Sanaz is an Assistant Professor in Management at Imperial College London. Previously, she was Postdoctoral Scholar in Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. She received her PhD in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Broadly, she is interested in identity and its intersections with politics and technology. More specifically, her research examines how 1) identity acts as a barrier and bridge to mutual understanding between people, and 2) identities shape and are shaped by digital environments. She combines traditional methods (surveys, experiments) with novel methods (smartphone sensing, experience sampling) to study identity in both controlled and naturalistic settings.
